Right Now Timing Window Drill
Most hitters don't have a mechanics problem. They have a timing problem.
Every pitch has a window — a specific moment in flight where a hitter has gathered enough information to make a quality decision and still has the physical time to execute the swing. Train that moment, and mechanics take care of themselves.
The Window is a new timing drill on betterballplayer.com built around exactly that idea. It isolates the trigger decision from mechanics, pitch identification, and release point. One job. One skill. Real feedback on whether your trigger is early, on time, or late — across pitch types and speeds from 75 to 100 mph.
It's a timing scaffold, not a full hitting trainer. Use it alongside live reps and front toss, not instead of them. When a player's window timing improves in the drill, the goal is simple: carry that feel directly into the cage.
That's where it becomes a real skill.
I'll be diving into this over the next few sessions.
