Second Base
This player has moved into Level 2 hitting concepts and understands speed and velocity differentials in the strike zone. They've built a basic hitter's mindset and do only one thing. They're starting to hunt pitches and read pitcher tendencies, awareness is heightened, and questions are centered around strategy and feel of movement.
Milestones:
Can I feel the speed differentials? Can I identify pitch speeds and locations? Am I beginning to understand and identify pitch shapes and how to employ “Right Now” on these pitches?
