I want to ask you something that might seem simple but usually opens up a really good conversation.
What was the moment — the at-bat, the drill, the rep, the game — when Right Now timing stopped being an idea and started being something you actually felt?
For most hitters coming into this community, there's a before and after. Before, the game feels fast. Pitchers feel like they're on top of you before you've made a decision. You're late, or you're early, and you're making mechanical adjustments trying to fix what is actually a timing problem. Coaches are telling you to fire your hips, keep your hands inside the ball, stay short to the zone — and you're working hard at all of it, and something still isn't right.
Then timing clicks.
And suddenly the game slows down. Not because the pitchers got slower. Because you stopped reacting to the pitch and started being Right Now — present, timed, ready — before the pitch ever leaves the pitcher's hand.
That shift doesn't happen the same way for everyone. For some hitters it happens in a drill. For others it happens in a live at-bat when they stop thinking about their mechanics and just time the ball. For some parents and coaches it happens when they watch their player stop fighting the ball and start meeting it.
I'll start.
The moment it clicked for me was watching a hitter who had been through years of mechanics-first instruction. Good athlete, hard worker, did everything coaches asked. Still struggled. We stripped everything back to one cue — Right Now — and stopped talking about mechanics entirely. Third at-bat, he barreled a fastball he had been late on his entire career. Nothing changed mechanically. His timing changed. The mechanics showed up on their own.
That's the whole methodology in one at-bat.
Now your turn.
If timing has already clicked for you — even once, even partially — share it below. Tell us what you were working on, what changed, and what it felt like when it happened.
If timing hasn't clicked yet, that's fine too. Tell us where you are. Tell us what's still not making sense. That's exactly what this hall is for.
Tag your base level so we know where you are on the Success Path, and if you have a clip that shows the before or after, drop it in. There's no better conversation starter in a timing-first community than actual video.
Let's hear it.
